Market Rules
Vendor equipment and supplies: Each Vendor is responsible for bringing, providing and removing any and all equipment and supplies he or she requires doing business on the Market sight. This included but is not limited to signs, tables, chairs, electrical equipment as needed as well as products and equipment utilized for clean-up purpose. Electric or other cords running anywhere a patron walks must have rubber sleeves and must be taped down. This is the responsibility of the vendor who is using the cords.
Signs: All signs much remain within the allotted vendor’s exhibit space and must not block traffic or pedestrian ingress or egress, or interfere with other vendors’ displays or views. Signs should be anchored as to not blow or fall in case of wind.
Exhibit Space: Exhibit Space is generally defined as 13’ x 13’. Tents may not be any larger than space size and vendors must have weights available for tents in case of high wind. Market Manager has full authority to assign exhibit space. Requests for particular sites will be given consideration but management reserves the right to assign and locate all vendors. Spaces will be assigned when payment is rendered. Payment and space assignment can be confirmed by calling the Market Manager prior to Market day. Assigned Market Space must be occupied by market opening time. Exhibit space not occupied by opening time may be reassigned to another vendor. If additional space is available and if conditions allow, exhibit space for permitted items may be rented on market day at the daily rental rate. Sharing of stall space is not permitted.
Hours of Operation: The Farmer’s Market OceanSide shall operate 8:00 am till 12:00 pm on every Saturday. All vendors shall remain open on site until 12:00 pm and must be vacated by 1:00 pm.
Set Up/ Breakdown/Adverse Weather: Market Manager will be on sight by 6:30 am to allow for Vendor set up. Vendors cooking on sight MUST work over tarps to avoid grease and food staining or soiling the ground beneath. Please consider the safety of our shoppers and wait until the market shoppers have mostly vacated before moving in your trucks to load up after 12 pm and have all trucks and vehicles off site by 8am. Please break down and have everything ready to load prior to bring in your vehicle for loading. Using the same courtesy when setting up, unload all equipment and product, then move your vehicle so others can get in to do the same. Vendors are responsible for removing all garbage and boxes from their space area. Spaces are to be left in the same condition as when rented. Breakdown starts as noon and spaces vacated by 1:00pm due to permitting restrains. It will be the discretion of the Market Manager to close or not to open the Market due to dangerous weather conditions. Vendors will be notified prior to market if possible. No refunds will be given due to weather conditions.
Vehicles/Parking and Product Display: Vehicles shall not be utilized as display area for market goods unless the vehicle is used as an integral unit for perishable items and is approved by market committee prior to the market. No vehicle will remain running or in the market area during market hours. Parking of vendor vehicles in the market area is permitted to load and unload displays and products. Please be mindful of other vendors to allow them access to their spaces as well. Tents must be firmly secured by the vendor for wind protection. Use of city property, such as light poles, sculptures, etc. to secure the canopies is prohibited. The Market Manager prior to use must approve all displays. Please leave the closest parking along Dahlia Lane and Ocean Drive for our shoppers. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot along Cardinal drive in front of the Seacoast building. There is also a 2 story parking garage across from the market that is vacant on Saturday.
Permitted Market Items: The Farmer’s Market Oceanside of Vero Beach Board and Market Manager reserves the right to limit products and numbers of vendors for the benefit of the Farmer’s Market as a whole. Vendor applications must include a complete list of products to be sold. Only those approved products listed on the application will be allowed for sale. Any questionable products will be subject to approval. Any vendor selling any item(s) not listed on their most recent application and not approved by Market Management or the Board must stop selling those item(s) immediately, in order to participate in the Market. If a vendor would like to add a product(s), please supply written notification to the Market Manager for review and approval prior to selling. No cooking will be allowed on-site without prior approval of Market Manager. The Market Manager and Board will resolve any doubts as to the suitability of an item. All items for sale MUST have a clearly displayed price that can easily be seen by market customers. All products must be sold, displayed and stored from a surface above the ground. All vendors must utilize tables, shelves, cases and other structures for these purposes. The sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages on the market site is strictly prohibited!
Law/Regulations and Liability: Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting their own sales tax. Vendors must abide by all Federal, State, County and City laws, regulations and ordinances, and are responsible for all permits/licenses required by the United State of America, the State of Florida, Indian River County, and or the City of Vero Beach. Vendors must provide the Farmer’s Market Board evidence of compliance if requested. Vendors are required to obtain and maintain individual General Liability insurance against any claim that occurs at the Farmer’s Market OceanSide Vero Beach.

is to be listed as a certificate holder on the declaration page provided to the market manager. By Signing a copy of the Market Rules, the vendor agrees to waive any and all liability of the Farmer’s Market OceanSide Vero Beach for claims, actions or damages.

Multiple space discounts will not be considered. Any weeks missed will not be refunded. Sales Tax is included in space fees. Vendors fee will be paid in advance of the market. Rent collected the Saturday of the market will be for the following Saturday. No reimbursement of fees will be made if vendor does not participate in market. The Market Board shall consider reimbursement in case of illness or death.
Enforcement of Rules:
The Market Manager is responsible for enforcing the market rules. Possible violations will be discussed and resolution attempted. Vendors selling prohibited items will be asked to remove those items from sale or leave the market. Unresolved problems will be referred to the Market Board. Continued violations will result in vendors being banned from the Market with not reimbursement of fees paid. Any Vendor who challenges another vendor’s product(s) legitimacy, display or conduct must file a written complaint with the Market Manager, giving the name of the vendor and the specific’s of the situation that my not be in compliance with market rules. The complainant must date and sign the complaint and the Market Manager will attempt resolution. If resolution is not possible, the complaint will be referred to the Market Board. All Rules may be revised by the decision of the Market Board.
